Things I’ve Learned and..(Hope never to forget)!!!! Part 1
Don’t stand in the warm water......Don’t drink pool water.....Don’t go swimming in cold water on first date.....Don’t ever tell a mad woman "go ahead I dare you"....Don’t run away from the police....Don’t run away from a Doberman.....always maintain eye contact with a Doberman.....Don’t volunteer in the military....Don’t volunteer in marriage......Don’t volunteer in friendship....Don’t volunteer at work....Don’t volunteer....Don’t ever ask a large woman when is the baby due.....Don’t go down dark streets.......Don’t drive thru small puddles...Don’t drive thru medium puddles...Don’t drive thru large puddles.... Don’t drive thru puddles....Don’t talk to yourself in public...always wear underwear.... return smiles given.... always say thank you.....respect your elders..... listen to your elders..... always stop for red lights and stop signs... Don’t be a show off.... help those that you can help.... be a good listener....... believe in miracles....that cookies should be eaten while warm.... that charm only last’s about 15 minutes....that people that don’t have children know how to raise yours... change is usually for the good......that quality doesn’t sell at a cheap price.... never give up your childhood...... to be remembered you must remember.....children and grandparents are allies... never go to bed mad.... the greatest feeling is to be able to choose....that smiles have more value on cloudy days.... that hate is not a gene but is taught by others... that there are so many levels of love.... to read a bedtime story to someone... that most people are honest..... that takers lose and givers win....that when you point a finger at someone 4 are pointing back at you.....sometimes love breaks hearts but its worth it.....that big problems start out small..... warm the seat for your love one.... always find the time to tell that special person how much they mean to you.... forgiving is a blessing and that forgetting takes a lot longer......friends are the best treasure you could have....that people shouldn’t be smothered or imprisoned in a relationship.... not to kiss and tell....not everyone is gonna like you.... that perfect is just a 7 letter word.... that fancy education doesn’t equal wisdom....that you sleep better if your honest....that bad decisions happen when your mad....that love is lovelier the second time around.....I like to sing anywhere.... I love it when other people sing anywhere.... That it’s more fun being with happy people then mad people.....that I’m lucky to have someone special in my life... that giving is a lot easier when no return is necessary... that doing something nice for someone gives me the good feeling... that there is a God in my life and he knows I exist.... that I have the power to say prayers for others... that things are not people and people are not things....that mistakes made in youth hang on forever.... that drinking isn’t the answer.... that having to share with someone makes the weight a lot lighter... that I am blessed and not cursed....that the 8th step was the most difficult thing to do... that I wasn’t alone with problems... that a baby’s laugh is pure joy... that children start out so innocent...that idiots start wars and brave young warriors have to clean up their messes... that once a woman makes up her mind to just get out of the way...that I always have time for things I want to do....

Wow, Richard, you've learned a lot! All good things, too! Glad you came in to post this because I hope you have also learned that you are missed when you stay away too long!
Living brings shared experiences. I have learned many of the same things in my lifetime--some have been difficult lessons--those puddles for example and the guilt acquired from youthful fiascoes.
